Welcome to the hot month of July! I know a lot of people are trying to find ways to beat the heat, but what better way with a cool drink and a good book. Especially a queer one! I want to encourage everyone, especially in these trying times, encourage and support your queer authors and your authors of queer works, because we need it these days.
I’m hard at work on the last of the Doctor’s Training trilogy, and it will be coming out in August if I can manage it. Or early September. We’ll see how editing goes!
She leaned over suddenly and kissed his lips gently. He pulled his head back in surprise. “What’s that for?”
“You looked like you needed it,” she said, then moved toward him, not sure if this was right or not. She wanted to comfort him, and honestly, in her mind, she only knew one way to do that. Right or wrong, it was what she knew best. “I haven’t slept with a man in a while. You already said you’d stand in for me, did you mean that?”
Devan’s face was easy to read as his eyes widened and a small smile spread across his face. “Of course, I meant it. You’re the only woman in my life.”
She moved to cup his face. “And you’re the only one I think of lately like this, so I want to make it real. I know we’ve done it before, but it has been a while. So, why don’t you let me take care of you for a while, alright, Dev?”
